Other Considerations: Avances en Ciencias e Ingeniería (ACI)

OTHER CONSIDERATIONS

Below is information regarding papers that are not published in the journal.

The non-publication of an article in Avances en Ciencias e Ingeniería can be attributed to three reasons: 1) a negative evaluation by the referees (and therefore the work is not publishable); 2) the withdrawal of the paper by the authors at any stage of the process; or 3) inappropriate conduct by the author in a publication.

________________________________________

1) Negative evaluation by the referees and non-publication This implies that the article under consideration has been evaluated unfavorably by more than one referee (peer review system). The referees have indicated various comments and observations that justify their decision. The Editor informs the author of the decision not to publish the article in the journal, considering the evaluations received. The author may resubmit the article for consideration by the journal but must reformulate it based on the evaluations previously performed. This article will be treated as a new one and will be subject to evaluation in accordance with the procedures described by the journal.

2) Author withdrawal of the article. An article will not be published if the author withdraws it at any stage of the process (reception, evaluation, submission of a revised version, acceptance for publication).

________________________________________

3) Inappropriate Conduct in Publications. Avances en Ciencias e Ingenieria will reject any publication that has not been conducted honestly, seriously, and professionally, and that violates the principles and values that researchers in general should uphold. Therefore, the following have no place in the journal: duplication (total or partial), plagiarism (and self-plagiarism), falsification and manipulation of data, misuse of artificial intelligence, and any other type of inappropriate manifestation. When it has been proven that the article and its author have engaged in any of these dishonest practices, violating the copyright and ethical commitment stipulated by the journal (and with the full knowledge of the author), the article will be removed from the publication process, and the author and their institution will be notified of the situation.

________________________________________

Note: The maximum period in which the authors will have access to the money (50% of what was paid) in their favor (either for a refund or as a credit for a new work) will be 6 months (from the date of the notification sent by the Editor to the author). After this period, there will be no possibility of reclaiming the money.
  • Authors whose article has not been published for the reasons indicated in points 2 and 3 will not be entitled to a partial (or total) refund.
