ARTICLE EVALUATION

Submitted works will be evaluated by international peer reviewers, who will assess the relevance of the manuscript's content and its validity. The name of the reviewer (and their affiliation) is not disclosed to the authors, but the authors' details will be visible to the reviewer (Anonymous Reviewer/Disclosed Author). The reviewer will use a standard form on which they will write their comments, with the respective suggestions to the authors. The Editor-in-Chief will ensure compliance with the standards of Advances in Science and Engineering and with the comments made by the reviewers.

Articles received must comply with the requirements stipulated in the rules. Once verified, they are sent for evaluation (to four evaluators). The selected evaluator is asked to arbitrate and is sent a copy of the work (in PDF format and with numbered lines). The reviewer must complete a form, providing their impressions and suggestions in accordance with the items contained in the form. An article is approved if it receives at least two positive evaluations. If two different evaluations are received (one approving and the other rejecting the work), a third evaluation is awaited, or the article is sent to a new referee for evaluation (if there is no third evaluation), so that the Editor can make a decision. If a work has two or more negative evaluations, it cannot be published. The evaluator is sent a certificate for the work performed. Additionally, the Editor of the journal makes some suggestions on certain aspects to be presented in the work. The author is sent the evaluators' report and the edition made by the Editor-in-Chief.

The papers evaluated and accepted will be sent back to the authors so that they can make the necessary modifications. Once this new version has been received, the changes made will be verified in accordance with the comments and observations in the evaluations. Papers that meet all the requirements will be assigned to the respective issue and volume of the journal. The assignment will be in strict order of receipt. Once the article has been published, the author will be informed.

FINAL VERSIONS

Once authors have made the changes, they must send a copy of the corrected manuscript (in DOC and PDF formats) and a letter explaining the changes made (addressed and not addressed, duly justified) in accordance with the reviewers' comments. The format of this letter is flexible (it can be in table or prose form), but it must clearly specify who is being responded to (the Editor, Reviewer 1, Reviewer 2, etc.). The approximate deadline for submitting the corrected version is one month. After that time, if the corrected version of the manuscript is not received, it will be considered that the author has withdrawn the work from the process. However, given the various reasons why the submission of the corrected version may be delayed, the author may request an extension, indicating the respective reasons for such a situation.

PUBLICATION PROOFING

Once the corrected version of the article has been approved, formal aspects (e.g., the presentation and placement of figures and tables) will be reviewed to improve the presentation and impact of the publication. The same applies to the first page of the article, where the abstract, titles, and keywords in Spanish and English will be verified. The Editor reserves the right to make any changes deemed appropriate, without affecting the substantive content of the article. Once the review is complete, a copy will be sent to the author for approval.
